About Atlantic UX Academy Galway
We are a young Galway-based academy focused on practical user experience education. Our mission is to give local product teams accessible training that turns research insights into measurable interface improvements.
Our Origin Story
Atlantic UX Academy Galway was created to meet the growing demand for applied UX skills in the West of Ireland. After supporting local teams with research workshops and usability audits, we launched a structured set of programs that focus on the skills most used in day-to-day product design. With one year of focused experience, we remain agile, responsive, and close to the community we serve.
How We Teach
Evidence-Led Learning
Each program begins with a real product challenge. Participants learn to observe user behaviour, capture qualitative insight, and document the impact of design decisions. We provide structured frameworks that keep research activities consistent and ethical.
Collaborative Delivery
We support cross-functional collaboration by bringing together product managers, researchers, and engineers in the same sessions. This shared understanding reduces hand-off friction and helps teams implement findings with confidence.
Learning Environment
Our Galway training space is designed to support workshops, research simulations, and interface critique sessions. The environment includes areas for small group collaboration, quiet analysis, and live usability testing. We focus on a calm and professional atmosphere that supports productive learning.
Participants also receive guidance on how to adapt these practices within their own workplaces, whether they are in-office or distributed teams.
Connection to Industry
While we are new, our curriculum is informed by current product practices across Ireland and Europe. We regularly review industry standards, accessibility guidance, and ethical research protocols to ensure our content remains relevant. This helps participants align with best practices used by modern tech companies.
Integrated Tooling
Participants learn to use documentation tools, research repositories, and lightweight analytics platforms that support evidence-driven product work.
Responsible UX Practice
We teach practices that respect user privacy, data protection requirements, and inclusive design principles for diverse audiences.
Our Commitment
We focus on clarity, transparency, and collaboration. We aim to help Galway’s tech community build stronger UX foundations and deliver better digital experiences. If you are exploring training or capability building for your team, we are ready to discuss the right fit.
